WRITING REFLECTION

JONATHAN:I increased as a reader, because I never use to know how to write a well written essay, because MR.locker helped me allot with my writing.MIGUEL:I got better at writing in eighth grade humanities, because before I use to write incomplete sentences, and I didn't use capital letters.JONATHAN:The reason why I say I got better as a writer is, because before I didn't write introductions or conclusion.MIGUEL:Another reason why I increased in my writing is, because before I never use to write paragraphs I use to write one or two sentences.JONATHAN:I also increased in writing more before my sentences use to have like 6 through 8 words only now it haves like 8 through 16 words.MIGUEL:I also improved at grammer in my essay, because before I had really bad grammer compared to know.JONATHAN:The last reason why I increased in my writing is, because now I right 4 or 5 paragraphs before I use to right 2 or 3 paragraphs.MIGUEL:Last reason why i am a better writer now is, because I use to write 4 letter sentences.

This book maus is mostly about survivoral throught the Nazi horrorefying actions.
The structure of this book is like a comic book. This comic book has mainly to do with world war 2 in poland, when the holocaust was happening the man who is the father of the author which is Vladek spiegelman. The authors father vladck was one of the survivers from the holocaust, as the author explains the situation the jews were faced in, in a comic book way using animals to represent the the Jews and Nazis. For example the Jew are represented by mice, the German are represented as the cats which are the bad guys.This book mainly has to do with survival. Jews trying to survive the slavery the germans/Nazis did in a evil way, by tourtureing and dehumanizing the Jews. This book also won 9 awardes throught 1988-1993. i enjoy this book because it related to history in a way that it keeps you intersted and leaves u wanting for more. I i would recomend this book to a person who really enjoys turning points in there reading .

READING REFLECTION
Miguel and Jonathan are now going to tell you about how we became a better reader in eighth grade.MIGUEL:In the beginning of the year I would say i wasn't such a great reader.I used to read easy books compared to the books I read know.I changed a lot as a reader, because now when I pick out a book I get hard book to challenge my reading level, and also I am trying to stop skipping pages while i just started reading the book.JONATHAN:I improved in my reading, because I used to read easier books compared to the books I read now.I also got better at chunking big words I don't know.Another reason how I got better at reading in the eighth grade was by reading books with more pages, because last year the longest book I ever read had 110 pages and now the longest book I ever read this year had 360 something pages.MIGUEL:Something I didn't improve in reading is reading more books, because i don't dedicate to much time to my reading.JONATHAN:A goal that I want to accomplish in my reading is to stop read about 20 phedages ahead of what part I am suppose to be reading. MIGUEL:What I would to accomplish in my reading is to finish 50 books before the end of this eighth grade class.JONATHAN:What i did accomplish is reading 50 books or more before eighth grade finishes.
